Match report
Orient 13:0 Needham Market.
Sunday's 3rd qualifying round of the women's FA cup saw Leyton Orient's women (Tier 7) defeat Needham Market WFC (Tier 6) by 13:0.
That was the 5th game of the season, four of which have ended in double figure wins for our ladies' side.
By now, everyone knows we have the best women's team the club has ever seen - by a country mile! So nobody is shocked at yet another massive score-line despite playing against a team from a higher league.
There were hat-tricks from Wiktoria Kiszkis, Poppy Binding and 'Super' Sammy Rowland (who only played 45 minutes) in addition to goals from Steph McCaffrey, Gemma Baker, and a brace from Wiki Fronk. Needham did get a late penalty but they missed the target - sometimes it just isn't your day!
The women move on to the FA Cup first round 'proper' which is where higher status leagues enter the fray so things will likely get a fair bit tougher in the next round. It will be played on 26th October, the draw will be made on Monday 6th October.
Our touchline reporter, Larry Peterson, made special mention about Poppy Binding, he described her skills and performance as "fabulous". Bravo to Poppy. A quick shout-out for debutant Emily Dilliway who played the 2nd half and did well.
Our eyebrows were raised somewhat when we saw the teamsheet and the league's top goal scorer, Sammy Rowland, was on the bench at the start. That's a brave thing to do when you're about to take on a team from a higher league. So kudos to Jason, Wayne and Craig for that, it also meant that returning Wiki Fronc had to opportunity to get more minutes into the legs. We needn't have worried, Sammy came on after a few minutes of the second half and promptly hit a hat-trick - having replaced Wiktoria Kiszkis who'd notched up her hat-trick by the 48th minute.
Next week, it's back to Greater London Premiership action with an away game at old adversaries Comets WFC, they are mid-table having played 5, won 2 and lost 3. We think they have never seen an Orient team like the one they'll face next Sunday. LOFCWOMEN.COM will be there!

Sundays FA Cup and GLWFL results.
Scores on the doors!
| FAC | Orient | 13 : 0 | Needham Mkt |
| FAC | South London | 6 : 0 | Ashridge Park |
| Lge | Comets WFC | 1 : 2 | London Accies |
| Lge | Luton Tn Dev | 3 : 2 | AFC Leyton |
| Lge | Tooting Bec | 3 : 4 | AFC Croydon |
From our point of view, the league results couldn't be better, Tooting Bec's home defeat to AFC Croydon Athletic means that every club has now dropped at least one point - except Orient! We retain our 100% record. It's very early days of course but we do now have a small advantage over everyone else.
The only other GLWFL team to remain in the FA Cup with us is South London WFC, they inflicted a 6:0 defeat on Ashridge Park who currently compete in Division One of the Thames Valley Counties Women's Football League, which places them at Tier 7 of the women's football pyramid in England. As you may recall, we identified the South London ladies to be our major competition for the Premier division title, they are looking good and not conceding goals when their first team keeper is in the squad.
Next Sunday's opponents; Comets WFC, lost 1:2 at home to newly promoted London Academicals. The "Accies" are proving difficult to predict as this was viewed generally as a home banker. Comets have a lovely ground on the opposite bank of the Thames to Craven Cottage but forget public transport if you want to watch the game from the touchline.
Luton Town Development 3:2 AFC Leyton. Luton break their duck with a close-fought battle of the bottom two clubs. It's hard to see from where AFC Leyton will get the points they'll need. The premier division is a tough place to be.
Tooting Bec 3:4 AFC Croydon Athletic. The other side we tipped to be 'thereabouts' is Croydon who inflicted Bec's first dropped points of the young season. They and South London shared the points in a 4:4 draw a couple of weeks ago so we remain convinced that our main challenge will come from one or both of those two.

Your Feedback
We almost always respond to emails we receive via our contact form but, of course, we can't do that if the sender doesn't leave an email address. You have the choice to be anonymous or not but, rest assured, we read all of them... and there's quite few coming in these days.
We'd like to say thank you to two specific mails, one from "A Fan" and the other from "A guy". They raise interesting points and give us some praise - and who doesn't appreciate that? Here are their words:
I've not really any big reason to get in touch other than to say I really appreciate the work you do and the tireless efforts made to support the womens team. You can tell it's a real labour of love and it's fantastic we have people dedicating so much time to shining a light on a team and aspect of the club that thoroughly deserves it. As a fan of 30 years of LOFC, I really am grateful your resource exists.
This isn't a complaint at all, but merely a suggestion, on the 'about us' page and where it mentions the Cheshunt FC ground, it mentions hard standing but not the 380 seats at the ground. For accessibility purposes, I'd mention that myself! I go to a lot of non league games and when a club says 'hard standing' but doesn't mention seats, I'd assume there weren't any seats. But as I've been to the ground many times I know they do. Just thought I'd mention, but not a criticism, you do amazing stuff!
Many thanks "Fan", we've added mention of the 380 seats info to our 'about us' page as you suggest.
Also, this was received from "A Guy"...
I think the idea of both the men’s and women playing the same day is fantastic, the idea of using the old changing rooms in the old stand, that way you need less time between the matches, maybe try the women going first next time… all exciting opportunities Keep up the good work guys!
Our thanks to you for the kind words. Your suggestions about timing the women's games and the dressing room suggestion mirrors that made by several others, we've passed them on to the club.
We're a bit sorry for the person in Czechia who would like to join Orient's coaching staff, also to the media company who asked permission to download our match videos. Trouble is, they are not ours! The point here is that, despite our attempt to position ourselves clearly as a fan's group, we're still being seen by some as an official arm of Leyton Orient. Anyone have suggestions how we can make it clearer?
