Closing down time
In the end, it's a 14:0 away victory. Clearly a difficult day for our old friends at Islington Borough but perhaps the two clubs are on different paths. A warm welcome to the Os for Lois Heuchan who is clearly a class act, we hear rumours that there may be another coming in soon. We're going to switch off now, thank you for following along with us, we hope you enjoyed it. We'll be doing it again next Sunday when the ladies will be taking on Dussindale, a Tier 5 club near Norwich in the 2nd qualifying round of the Adobe Womens FA Cup. See you then!
90+3 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
Lois Heuchan adds another at the death. 14 it is then.
90 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
and there it is! Courtesy of Wiktoria Kiszkis, to match last week's 13 goal haul.
87 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
Poppy Binding yet again, she's currently unplayable. Thanks to Esme Lancaster for the assist. One more goal needed to match last week's tally.
84 mins
Steph McCaffrey couldn't make a good opportunity pay, Wiktoria Kiszkis hit the post with the keeper beaten - then Lucy Porter gets her first goal ... only to see it disallowed. Big cheers from the touchline followed by groans of disappointment.
80 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
Poppy Binding again, this time assisted by Wiktoria Kiszkis.
77 mins
Lois Heuchan hits a rocket which the keeper parries away for a corner, Steph McCaffrey shoots but it trickles a few feet wide
. Each time IBLFC get the ball, we use muscle and strength to get it off them.
75 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
Poppy Binding takes advantage of excellent work by Lois Heuchan to push the scoreline up to double figures.
Now may be a good time to explain that Islington Borough Ladies lost the core of their first team over recent weeks, many of whom left to join a tier 9 team called "Fusion". Add to that, they are playing half of a game with ten players against a rampant Orient side... all this goes some way to explaining the unusually high scoring we're seeing.
67 mins
Steph McCaffrey works herself a scoring half-chance but didn't really get hold of her shot.
65 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
That's a brace for Sammy Rowland after a Poppy Binding header puts her into a scoring position.
60 mins
Steph McCaffrey sets up Sammy Rowland but her goal-bound effort is well saved.
56 mins
Kallie Balfour and Jade Keogh are both here but it appears they won't be playing today. We hope any injuries are not too serious.
56 mins
A short delay as the ref requires a deep divot to be filled with earth, A sensible thing to do! We're back playing.
55 mins
Islington have little choice being down to ten players but to defend in depth and they seems to be doing it very well.
52 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
Grace Gillard continues as a free scoring centre back with another after Poppy Binding almost scored a minute earlier.
47 mins
We also see Wiktoria Kiszkis is playing now, we'll check who is missing and let you know. Ruby is straight into the acion with an attacking throw-in.
46 mins
Islington get us underway for the second half, we notice Ruby Abela is on.
During half time
Your intrepid reporter Larry Peterson and friends found the tea bar only to be told it's closed today. How he suffers for his art!!!
45 mins
HALF TIME
It may seem a little ruthless but if Orient win by the biggest margin in the league, we will go top (unless Sporting Duet win their second game having played last week). Once top, we don't intend to lose that position.
40 mins
Orient look unstoppablre now, within a few minutes Poppy Binding nearly scored, Lois Heuchan takes a shot which won a corner,
Grace Gillard heads but the keeper's got it, then Lucy Porter gets a header in but the keepers got that too. Lucy takes a shot but it’s wide, she is desperate for her 1st goal.
37 mins
RED CARD
An Islington player is sent off, Lucy Porter was also cautioned by the ref although we didn't see a yellow card. We play against ten now.
37 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
Sammy Rowland opens her account to make it No 6. A nice assist from Grace Gillard.
35 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
Steph hits her third to bring the score to 5-0.
29 mins
Ellie Leek moves up from midfield and hits a shot from range but it goes wide of the post.
26 mins
Stephanie plays in Sammy Rowland but the Islington keeper is equal to it. Stephanie McCaffrey appears to have a renewed energy and power about her.
25 mins
Grace Gillard and Esme Lancaster needed to act a bit sharpish to ward off an Islington attack, they get a corner.
23 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
Stephanie McCaffrey gets another after a fine assist from Esme Lancaster. 4-0 up now.
18 mins
Islington get themsleves into the Orient half and try to set up an attack.
12 mins
This is turning into the Lois Heuchan show. She's on the team sheet as No 5 but is playing in the No 3 shirt. Grace Gillard is No 5.
10 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
Lois Heuchan applies the pressure from which an Islington defender appears to suffer an OG.
8 mins
Debutant Lois Heuchan is clearly a top player, she got a crtacking shot away whcih the keeper saved and then, within a muinurte, she hits another but this time a defender blocks it. Lois is an exciting addition to the squad.
7 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
Steph McCaffrey gets on the scoresheet with the through-ball assist from Hayley West.
6 mins
Steph McCaffrey gets a chance but the home keeper is right behind the shot.
3 mins
!!! G O A L !!!
Steph McCaffrey with the assist and Poppy Binding applied the finishing touch
02 mins
O's on the front foot, Sammy Rowland smashes one against the crossbar. So close!
01 mins

From ST ALOYSIUS' COLLEGE SPORTS FIELD #2.
Orient's women are taking on Islington Borough Ladies in both team's first league match in this season's Greater London Women's Football League (GLWFL) - Premier division. The folks at Islington know we have recruited strongly during the summer in preparation for this season and are well aware of the O's thumping win last Sunday in the FA Cup. Having said that, over the past two seasons, Boro have two victories over Orient, one defeat and one draw.
Our roving correspondent Larry Peterson will be at the ground, we'll be publishing his comments before, during and after the game (see "Live text starts here" above)
