F U L L - T I M E

Today, the unstoppable force met the immoveable mass, at least on paper. However, there was a clear winner with eight goals (including two hat-tricks), yet another clean sheet so it is the girls from E10 who move on to round 2 of the FA Cup and collect today's large pot of prize money. Such a win against the dominant club in the Southern region of Tier six must send a clear message to the folks in the Ivory towers of the FA that something must be done to correct the situation - by the season's end at the very latest.

90 mins

Into added time as Sammy Rowland thumps a hard shot into the Home keeper's arms. Larry's PotM is the home keeper - just like last week.

86 mins

O's piling on the pressure, we get a corner. Emily Dilliway gets a yellow card. It seems this ref doesn't like us.

84 mins

Emily Dilliway shows everyone she can hit a rocket shot. No goal this time but plenty of pace on the ball.

80 mins

!!! G O A L !!!

Never mind the penalty, star midfielder Lucy Porter hits her own hat-trick goal.

79 mins

Penalty

Sammy Rowland is fouled, the ref points to the spot. The keeper saves!

75 mins

Sammy Rowland is shown a yellow card. We missed whatever it was that brought it about.

72 mins

!!! G O A L !!!

Sammy Rowland hits a cracker to notch her umpteenth hat-trick of the season.

66 mins

Kallie Balfour, Steph McCaffrey and Ellie Leek Thomas are replaced by Emily Dilliway, Gemma Baker and Wiktoria Kiszkis.

64 mins

We're on hold at the moment for a Farnham player who's taken a knock. They deserve a lot of credit, they're putting everything into this game.

62 mins

More bravery from the home goalkeeper. Farnham are looking down the barrel of a disaster with still 30+ minutes to go.

58 mins

!!! G O A L !!!

Sammy Rowland applies the finish to bag her second of the afternoon.

58 mins

Steph McCaffrey stings the hands of the Home goalkeeper.

56 mins

Georgia Griffin nearly gets a goal and serves notice to the home defence that she's just as dangerous as the lass she replaced.

52 mins

Farnham keeper makes a brave save at the feet of advancing Orient strikers. The home side still trying to get a goal are working very hard but haven't really worked Lola Duroyaiye in the O's goal.

49 mins

Poppy Binding (on a yellow) is replaced by Georgia Griffin. Kallie Balfour stops a strong Farnham attack.

49 mins

Poppy Binding (on a yellow) is replaced by Georgia Griffin. Kallie Balfour stops a strong Farnham attack.

48 mins

!!! G O A L !!!

Ellie Thomas Leek hits a free kick which leads to O's fifth scored by Lucy Porter who gets her second of the game.

We're off and playing the second half

H A L F - T I M E

Orient looking set to take the prize money and go into the hat for round two. 229 people are tuned in, thank you all!

45 + 2 mins

Farnham still putting in the effort and build an attack but their shot goes wide. Sammy gets a chance at the other end but she also misses the target.

45 mins

!!! G O A L !!!

Wiktoria Fronc gets on the scoreboard with a beauty from 20 plus yards. Can't see a way back for Farnham now.

43 mins

!!! G O A L !!!

Kallie Balfour moves into the attack and hits an audacious daisy cutter! Bravoooo Kallie. A heart-breaker for Farnham.

39 mins

Farnham embarking on lung-busting work rate and advance on the Orient goal. The crowd wake up and the level of excitement rises. Lola clears up again.

37 mins

Larry reports in that Farnham are a big and powerful side, they won't be collapsing in this game.

35 mins

Poppy Binding is shown a yellow card - we have no idea why.

35 mins

Farnham build an attack but Lola Duroyaiye in the O's goal tidies everything up without drama.

33 mins

The stands are mostly full so we estimate there's a few hundred people here. They will not be accustomed to being 2:0 down so things are a bit quiet. Larry and friends are not the quiet types however!

30 mins

Half hour passes and you get the sense that Orient are grinding down the stubborn resistance of the home side. Esme Lancaster moves forward to a threatening position but is flagged for offside.

28 mins

We get a free-kick, Poppy Binding to take it...

26 mins

Sammy Rowland is starting to shake off her double markers. She hits one from range and forces a corner.

22 mins

!!! G O A L !!!

Ellie Thomas Leek takes a corner, Sammy Rowland gets her head to it and bang! It's 2:0

20 mins

20 minutes in and we're looking strong but Farnham do pose a threat so we need to keep it tight and stay "on it". A warm welcome to the 200th person who has just joined this Live-Text broadcast.

16 mins

We have the ball in the net but it has been disallowed. We don't know why. Still 1:0 up.

11 mins

Leyton Orient, playing in their all-green away kit, are starting to look on top in terms of possession and time spent in their opponents' half. However, this is a good Farnham side who appear to be adjusting to the needs of the game.

07 mins

!!! G O A L !!!

Lucy Porter shatters the deadlock (sorry Dulcet Dave) with a cracking hit to the top corner. No chance for the home keeper. We're away!!!

04 mins

A certain amount of probing and sizing up going on as these sides clearly have respect for each other's record. Orient looking calm, Farnham looking a bit rushed. Early days of course.

01 mins

A tense atmosphere as the game starts... COYOs!!!!

⇧ MATCH COVERAGE ⇧

2 mins to kick off

The teamsheet shows Jason Stephens has picked his strongest side (in our opinion) although a notable returnee Lois Heuchan is on the bench whose credentials mean she is probably disappointed not to be part of the starting 11. Gemma Baker also returns to take a bench seat. We're waiting for the off - after the usual few minutes delay....

team sheet vs Farnham

5 mins to kick off

It's nice to see 104 people are already tuned in to this broadcast, can we beat the record set last week when 212 people were reading our updates during the first half? We don't know who you are because we don't use cookies, but please accept a warm welcome from us. The weather seems to be behaving itself so that's a positive. These games tend to start a few (or several) minutes late so if you don't see updates (above, don't worry, they will come). We're now waiting for a glimpse at the team sheet.

10 mins to kick off

A side-battle is going on today as the 1st round is contested throughout the country by teams from the far north to Cornwall. The current top scorers for the women's FA Cup are: [Cleo Rawlings - Millbrook Ladies - 11 goals] - [our own Sammy Rowland - Leyton Orient - 11 goals] - and [Keri Mallinson - Penrith - 10 goals]. Here's hoping Sammy can add to her tally of 11 goals and go on to win the FA's Mitre Golden Ball competition, a nationally recognised and prestigeous award given to the Cup's highest scorer. Sammy has already won it before, she could become the first double winner in history.

20 mins to kick off

Farnham will have heard about our 'new' Orient team and how it is dominating Tier 7 in the Greater London Area, however Farnham are similarly dominating their Tier 6 league in Surrey and all points due south. Both teams have an unshakeable belief in their own talents and expect their respective all-win 100% records to stay intact today - someone is going to be deeply disappointed!

30 mins to kick off

Good afternoon everyone, welcome to today's LIVE TEXT coverage of the O's women's first round cup tie away at Farnham Town. A possible big club awaits the winners in the next round (when Tier 3 clubs join in), there's also the matter of £6,000 prize money to the winners of today's game. We'll be back before the kick-off.

News from this morning....

It's a chilly start to the matchday, grey skies and single digit temps forecasted. Let's hope the rain stays away. There's no new team news although coach Stephens prefers to keep his team-sheet under wraps until the last moment. Something has to 'give' today, both teams have won every match so far this season, both are super confident... one of them is going to be disappointed come the full-time whistle.
We'll be back and 'live' at around 1:30pm. See you then.
