Final Score

Leyton Orient 16:0 London Academicals It's very difficult to write "this result was predictable" without sounding a bit arrogant but, in view of the scores from both of these sides in the first half of the season, the fact is that it was very predictable. Hats of to nine-goal Poppy Binding, this adds to her six goal haul two weeks ago and her two-goal effort last Sunday. Thank you for following along with us, we hope you've enjoyed being part of the 171 people who did the same today. We're going to switch off now, we hope to catch up again for the next game which will be on 4th January at Cheshunt Stadium for another GLWFL premier division game, this time against Islington Borough. In the meantime, all the latest news can be found at lofcwomen.com. Let us wish you a merry christmas and a happy 2026.

Still the Orient ladies surge forward, still the visitor's keeper is having the game of her life. Not long to go now.

84 mins

Accies gamely hanging on but the Orient girls are relentless. Having said that, the visitors moved it upfield and got themselves a corner.

!!! G O A L !!!

We think Georgia Griffin just broke the scoring record - 16:0 now.

80 mins

!!! G O A L !!!

We make that the 15th of the game but things are happening so fast, we're not 100% sure. This one looks like Wiktoria Kiszkis.

78 mins

!!! G O A L !!!

In goes the 14th, Poppy Binding... who else?

76 mins

Wiktoria Kiszkis really wants to get in on the scoring but is denied by the embattled Accies keeper.

73 mins

Grace Gillard has her hat-trick. Accies look exhausted, Orient never stop....

H A L F - T I M E

The effort being put in by the Accies is admirable but it's hard to see how they can maintain it.

42 mins

Gemma Baker has moved forward from her midfield berth and made the keeper work.

00 mins

We're off and running here at Cheshunt.

it's time....

The teams are on the pitch and ready to go, we can only see ten Accies players???

5 mins to go

Not much action in view so it may be yet another late start, de riguer for the GLWFL this season. Today also happens to be the winter solstice so it's the shortest daylight day of the year. Still waiting for a teamsheet.

30 mins to go

Larry and the lofcwomen.com crew are at the stadium having enjoyed what has now become a traditional pre-match nosh up at the cafe just round the corner. Not an establishment for the health food fans but plenty of good enjoyable grub! We're waiting for the team sheet which normally gets published a couple of minutes before kick-off.

News from last week....

lofcwomen.com's own footy correspondent, Larry Peterson, will be at the Cheshunt stadium for this, the final game of 2025. We'll be posting his comments before, during and after the game (see above).
There is a 'live latest score' banner locked at the bottom of your screen. London Academical (aka "Accies") lost last Sunday in 3:2 reversal against Sporting Duet who scored all three goals in the final seven minutes of the game. In view of our recent post (on Thursday) about Wiki Fronc and the levels of fitness within the Orient side - a point made again in the match programme (Orient 2:1 Bradford) in which Wiki also talks about the fitness and athleticism of the ladies in red, we predict that, quite apart for any differences in skills, fitness will again be a deciding factor - particularly if the Accies show up with no subs as they are reported as having done so a couple of weeks ago. In view of star striker Sammy Rowland needing a walking stick recently, it's safe to say our (and the league's) top scorer will still not be available for this game. More news as we get it .....
