Training at the seaside
Unfortunately, the scheduled pre-season friendly booked for yesterday (Sunday July 21st) was called off when the opponents pulled out of the fixture. This really didn't help with Jody and Marc's preparations for the new season but not all was lost as some of the squad were able to attend and participate in a training session. Held on a hot and sunny afternoon, the cooler Essex coast certainly had its attraction in view of the fitness and conditioning workouts being endured by the ladies.
Forgive us we have this wrong, we're still getting to grips with who is who from the one or two photographs we have, but we're pretty sure that's skipper Stef Paci at the front right. Our thanks and appreciation to Stef who sent us a few words, see below the photo...

Two Pre-season games coming up...
Our thanks to Dal Keeler who passed on the details of a match away at Maidstone, this Thursday 23rd July. It's shown as an 8pm kick off
Maidstone United Women compete in the Kent County Women’s League, which sits at Tier 7 of the English women’s pyramid. Some seasons they have operated multiple squads (First Team + Development), depending on player numbers. Their long‑term aim is promotion to the Women’s Regional League (Tier 6), which is the same level our Women’s First Team will play in through 2026/27.Next Sunday 26th July, we're back in Essex with an away pre-season fixture against Royston Town. We don't have details of that yet but stay tuned, we'll get it all to you.
Royston are a strong club with ladies' team playing at Tier 5 and a development squad playing at Tier 7.
